• Wanted for Murder: Arrest warrants issued in deadly Newnan shooting (fox5atlanta.com) — Newnan police have issued arrest warrants for 35-year-old Justin Mardez Owens in connection with a March 31 shooting that killed 38-year-old Hunter Ross Williams on Octavia Place. Investigators say Owens’ whereabouts are unknown and are asking anyone with information to contact the Newnan Police Department or Crime Stoppers as they work to clarify what happened. 
• Georgia heart attack survivor defies the odds (fox5atlanta.com) — A Coweta County Fairgrounds employee’s quick CPR and AED use, followed by intensive care at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, saved local resident Tray Baggarly after a massive heart attack. The hospital will honor the retired firefighter with a community hero award, and Coweta County plans to add more AEDs in public buildings to boost future survival chances.
