• Grants From Park Service Will Help Acquire Threatened Battlefield Lands (nationalparkstraveler.org) — Resaca’s Civil War battlefield is among several historic sites getting new protection through a fresh round of National Park Service land acquisition grants. The 2026 awards will help state and local partners permanently preserve threatened battlefield acreage in Georgia and three other Southern states.
