• Tybee Island receives $5M federal boost for new fire station (wsav.com) — Tybee Island is getting a new, modern fire station on Butler Avenue, backed by a $5 million federal investment to replace the cramped, century‑old Jones Avenue facility. Firefighters say the upgraded design, with on‑site living quarters, drive‑through bays, and the island’s first Emergency Operations Center, will cut response times and improve safety for residents and visitors once construction begins later this year. 
• Orange Crush returns to Tybee Island with new name (clutchpoints.com) — Tybee Island is set to host the rebranded Crush Reloaded beach event this April, with thousands of HBCU students expected and city officials holding town halls today at the Burke Day Public Safety Building. After years of tension and last year’s more controlled festival, organizers and city leaders are promising a safer, more organized celebration that still honors the event’s deep cultural roots.
