This Popular Sandwich Restaurant Is Opening In Aurora
It will be the shop's second location in Aurora, and it'll sit on the border with Batavia.
AURORA, IL — A new Potbelly Sandwich Shop is due to open next week in Aurora.
The new restaurant, located within the Kirkland Crossing Plaza off Kirk Road and Butterfield Road, will welcome customers for the first time on April 7. The location, near the border with Batavia and North Aurora, is the second store in the city, with the other located at Fox Valley Mall.
Potbelly's will serve the brand's well-known menu of toasty sandwiches and wraps, signature salads, hand-dipped shakes and freshly baked cookies. Third-party delivery will also be available, as will catering services.

The restaurant will be locally owned and operated by Kevin Patel and Anand Patel, who both grew up in Aurora.
"Chicagoland is home, and we have always admired Potbelly," Kevin said, per a news release. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect our experience with a brand that has so much local appeal. Between our shared background in the restaurant industry and growing up right here in Aurora, opening this shop felt like the perfect opportunity. It's exciting to bring a brand we love to this community and create a welcoming neighborhood spot where people can gather and enjoy great food."

To celebrate the grand opening, Potbelly's will host a celebration April 23 that will include giving away free Potbelly for a year to the first 50 guests in line. Exclusive merchandise, prizes and games are also on the docket.
Aurora's new Potbelly will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
