Rash Of Crime At Elmhurst Business: Cops
A employee says he was spat upon after leaving work, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police have responded to reports of crimes a number of times over the last couple of months at a local trucking firm.
On Thursday, police said an employee was spat upon leaving about 3 p.m. Feb. 27 from Super Ego, 677 N. Larch Ave. The suspect denied the allegation, police said. The incident was reported five days later.
On Thursday afternoon, a man told police that he left his backpack containing his belongings in his semi-truck, but found it stolen a couple of hours later.

- On Jan.6, a woman told police that someone stole her purse from her unlocked semi-truck while it was being serviced.
- On Jan. 8, someone stole a semi-truck. The theft was reported two days later.
- On Feb.21, Dequan M. Boone, 29, of Columbia, South Carolina, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault. Police said they responded to a report of a man with a machete.
- On March 1, police received a report from Super Ego that someone sent a fraudulent email acting as one of the company's clients and requesting a change in banking information. A payment was later sent to the suspect.
