Old Quarry won the state championship in the open pom category and the jazz category in the junior high division.
Lemont finished with a score of 96.63, beating out second place Frankfort's Hickory Creek which had a score of 95.63, according to IESA.
The school said Lemont (95.93) earned its 21st straight IHSA State Finals berth by winning the IHSA Reavis Sectional on Jan. 31.
The battle for the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy takes place this year at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
The IHSA began offering a state series in girls’ flag football in 2024, with 154 schools participating in the inaugural year.
Hannah Farley placed 24th to become just the second two-time all-state performer in program history.
The student-athletes include seniors Brett Tucker, Judah Heeg, Joey Scott, Nora Miller, Amanda Vileikis and Kenzie Purgatorio.
Lemont will play at Kankakee at 3 p.m. on Nov. 1.

Joey Scott tied for 22nd at the 2025 IHSA Class 2A Boys’ Golf State Finals.
Included among the hall of fame’s 19th induction class will be the 2014 and 2016 state champion baseball teams.
Lemont will kick off its season on Aug. 29 against Libertyville.
Lemont will play at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Laurence, according to IHSA.
On Tuesday, Lemont defeated Ottawa, 4-2, in the sectional semi-final.
Lemont will play Ottawa at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lemont will play Oak Forest on Wednesday.
The games will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. on June 1 at Mount Assisi Field, 13900 Main St. on June 1.
The team will now play Nazareth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Glenbard South sectional semi-final.
The 11 student-athletes committed to their respective collegiate athletics, including baseball, cheerleading, and track and field.
Lemont (no. 2 seed) will face no. 1 seed Brother Rice at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Lemont (no. 2 seed) will face no. 3 seed Marian at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Lemont (no. 2 seed) will face no. 10 seed Morgan Park at 7 p.m. on Friday.
The school said Heeg finished the season with a 41-3 record and is Lemont’s first state champion since 2020.
Old Quarry won the State Championship with a score of 96.75.

Lemont was making its second straight team state finals appearance in girls’ cross country, and its 14th overall.
In the third-place game, Lemont lost to Crystal Lake's Prairie Ridge, 1-0.

Lemont will play Belleville Althoff at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Hoffman Estates High School in the semi-finals.
Lemont will play Notre Dame on Tuesday in the super-sectional game.
Head Coach Chris Zogata's team will now play Kaneland in the first round of sectionals on Tuesday.

Also, Joey Scott tied for seventh individually, becoming the program’s first-ever two-time all-state performer.
The 18th induction class will be Linda (Kacinskas) Anifer ‘91, Becky (Cortesi) Caruso ‘93, Clayton Fejedelem ‘11, and Shawn “PJ” Pipes ‘17.
Lemont football's first game will be Aug. 30 against Libertyville.
