Increased Patrols Planned In Naperville For Halloween
Police will be on the lookout for impaired drivers during increased patrols as Halloween approaches.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville are urging residents to drive sober and have planned to ramp up patrols in the days leading up to Halloween.
“If you’re heading out to a Halloween party, make sure to decide how you’ll get home before the party starts,” Naperville Police Sgt. Derek Zook said in a statement. “Just one drink or hit can impact your ability to drive safely and make responsible decisions. Planning ahead will help keep you – and others – safe."
The Naperville Police Department shared the following tips for drivers to help keep the roads safe:

- Arrange a ride with a designated driver
- Call a taxi or use a rideshare service
- Don't let friends drive high or drunk
- If you've been drinking and are on foot, find a friend to walk you home
The city's Halloween safety campaign is part of a statewide initiative funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
