We are a diverse organization working to rehome homeless shelter dogs, advocating against Puppy Mills, working in our communities to provide low cost vaccines &amp; microchips, and lastly educating children and adults on proper care of dogs. We strive to offer the best canine companions suited for various family dynamics, having evaluated the dogs in foster homes. Our dogs are adopted out through our Foster to Adopt program to ensure the dog is a fit for your family and equally important the dog is happy and relaxed in the home. We are always in need of loving foster homes, haven't fostered before, no worries, let us show you the way. Volunteers welcome to work at the monthly vaccine clinic, transport dogs, doggie field trips for dogs in boarding, fundraising events and in store adoption meet and greets. Volunteers skilled in data entry, organizational skills, and graphic design are always in high demand. Volunteer's directly handling dogs must be a minimum of 18 years of age. We intake dogs from DuPage Animal Services, Central Illinois shelters and Southern Illinois shelters. Our largest intake of dogs come from SE Missouri in the Bootheal where rural pounds are kill shelters' and people fail to reclaim their dogs. Many of the dogs we intake into our foster center in SE Missouri have Heartworm Disease, some have serious injuries that need specialized veterinary care found with speciality hospitals in Northern Illinois, and the majority our loving country dogs that are dog and people social. We intake a variety of breeds, ages, sizes and the lovable mixed breed dogs that it's anyone's guess, but they are adorable and filled with unconditional love. We do not intake breeder releases, we feel our mission and calling is to rescue the abandoned, neglected and injured dogs of kill shelters. While shelters are beyond capacity and euthanizing dogs down to the age of puppies for space, this is where we feel the greatest need is and we want to be there on the frontlines of saving lives at risk. Our community outreach is guided by the mission of keeping dogs with their family's. It's far easier to save a dog just by keeping that dog out of the shelter system. Low cost, free vaccines, food and supplies can make all the difference in a family being able to keep their pets or not. Shelter's are euthanizing dogs for space, we can't rescue all the dogs, but we can try to keep dogs from entering the shelters. We grow our own farm fresh vegetables, our Farmers Market is available July thru October, and have a U-Pick Apple orchard starting in August. We have our own chickens with farm fresh eggs and goats for you to visit daily.  We offer local meats, cheeses, homemade pies and cookies! We have 9 bee hives on our property offering our local honey for sale in our general store. Our canned goods are freshly made, we have an amazing variety, everything from Apple Butters, jams, pickles, olives, salsas, balsamic vinegar, flavored olive oils, salad dressing, and much more. Our garden center store offers metal yard art, wind chimes, yard spinners, antiques, and great gift ideas.  We carry organic fertilizers and pest control.   We have a wonderful selection of planters and offer to custom design the flowers for you to enjoy for the whole season.  We offer design classes as well.  Craft Fairs are held the 3rd Sunday of each month starting in May and run thru October.  We have a 2 day Fall Festival the 2 weekend in October.  Every Sunday we have kids crafts from 11-1.  You can sign up on our website bronkberryfarms.com, or pay at the door.  We also have popup food trucks so stay tuned on our facebook page, Bronkberry Farms.
