• Check Trick Trouble: Man Accused Of Altering Paycheck For Larger Withdrawal (thebaynet.com) — A financial fraud case tied to a business on Chesapeake Avenue in North Beach has led to multiple felony charges against a Chesapeake Beach resident. Investigators say a paycheck deposited at a Truist Bank account was later altered for a much larger withdrawal, prompting a Calvert County District Court case with a preliminary hearing set for May 11.
