ā¢ NGOM scallopers brace for lower quota as 2026 season reopens (nationalfisherman.com) ā Gloucesterās waterfront is poised for another intense NGOM scallop season starting April 1, though fishermen will work under a sharply reduced quota. Boats from Maine to New Jersey are expected to crowd local docks again, bringing a short burst of business and energy to the port as crews race to land high-priced scallops before NOAA closes the fishery.
