• Escaped red-tailed hawk found safe in Millis in chicken coop wearing bells (millismedwaynews.com) — Medway-area animal control officers helped reunite Trixie, a missing red‑tailed hawk, with her owner after she turned up in a Millis chicken coop wearing bells. Millis/Medway Animal Control says alert residents reported the unusual sight, allowing officers to identify the trained bird and contact the Medfield falconer. Officials are using the happy ending to stress reporting odd wildlife behavior. 
• Franklin woman accused of setting her own home on fire (nbcboston.com) — Medway firefighters were among several area departments that responded when a Franklin woman allegedly set fire to her own Maple Street home last November. The blaze killed two cats and heavily damaged the house, but no people were hurt. The homeowner, now charged with arson of a dwelling, was arrested Monday and arraigned in Wrentham District Court.
