MI Woman Asks ChatGPT To Choose Her Powerball Numbers And Wins Big
With her winnings, she plans to pay off her home and then save the rest.

A Wayne County woman asked ChatGPT to choose her Powerball numbers in a recent drawing and won a $100,000, according to Michigan Lottery officials.
Tammy Carvey, 45, of Wyandotte, matched four white balls (11-23-44-61-62) and the Powerball (17) in the Sept. 6 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. The prize was then doubled thanks to the power play, lottery officials said.
She bought her winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

Carvey told lottery officials she asked ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers and decided to play those numbers on her ticket.
"When I checked the winning numbers, I saw I matched four white balls and the Powerball and knew I had to have won something," Carvey said. "Google told me it was a $50,000 prize, so that’s what I thought I’d won. It wasn’t until I logged into my Michigan Lottery account that I realized I added the Power Play to my ticket and actually won $100,000! My husband and I were in total disbelief."
