• Brooklyn Park police searching for missing man, family holds vigil to raise awareness (kstp.com) — Brooklyn Park police are asking residents and business owners near Lakeland Avenue North and along West Broadway/County Road 81 to review their properties and surveillance video for signs of 27-year-old Jontae Brandon Lee, missing since March 11. Lee, who has a medical condition and is considered in danger, was honored at a candlelight vigil on his birthday as his family pleads for community help. 
• Man sentenced to 10 years for fatal shooting of teen girl in Brooklyn Park (hometownsource.com) — Brooklyn Park residents are learning more about the sentencing of a Maple Grove man to just over 10 years in prison for fatally shooting a 17-year-old girl in the city last summer. Court records detail how Brooklyn Park police responded to Lakeland Avenue North, used surveillance video and phone data to identify the suspect, and coordinated with out-of-state agencies to arrest him.
