CONCORD, NH — A woman is facing stalking and violation of a protective order charges after being accused of attempting to contact a protected party via social media.

An officer was sent to the Royal Gardens apartment complex around 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 23 to take the report from the complainant. The woman said a week before, she received a friend request from Kristina M. Eddy, 49, of Manchester Street in Laconia, a former roommate, but did not accept it, according to an affidavit. At first, she thought it was “a one-time thing.” But then, she accused Eddy of sending a friend request to a parent, too, so she contacted the police.

The parent did not respond to the request either, the officer wrote, and they do not have a protection order against Eddy.

The officer then called Eddy to talk about the situation and she was accused of admitting to being aware of the protection order. When asked, she confirmed, “I sent her a friend request on Facebook,” the officer wrote. When asked why, Eddy said she wanted to check on the complainant, make sure she was OK, and hoped she would accept the friend request so they could talk, an affidavit said. When asked if there was a section in the domestic violence protection order prohibiting her from reaching out to the victim, she said she did not read the order that she was served, the officer said.

Dispatch checked the protection order and confirmed there was a no contact and that Eddy was at the court hearing in July 2025 and received a copy of the order that day, the officer said.

A warrant was issued for Eddy’s arrest and on Feb. 1, she was arrested and charged with stalking and violation of a protective order.

On Feb. 2, she pleaded not guilty to the charges. At the time of her arrest, Eddy was listed as a resident of Kensington, according to Concord police, although court documents have her as a resident of Laconia.

A bail hearing was held on Feb. 18 after a public defender filed an expedited motion to reconsider the $300 bail set for her. At the time, the motion said, Eddy was unrepresented by counsel. Another hearing was held on March 4.
