Man Fatally Shot In Jersey City: Hudson County Prosecutor

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 27-year-old man was shot to death in Jersey City on Sunday, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

Police headed to Union Street and Martin Luther King Drive, in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood, around 5 a.m. Sunday, prosecutors said.

Jamaal George, 27, of Jersey City was found with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body, they said.

The area of Union Street and Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City.

He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after 5:30 a.m., prosecutors said.

No arrests had been made as of late Sunday afternoon.
