Manasquan Man Hit And Killed By NJ Transit Train

SEA GIRT, NJ — A 40-year-old Manasquan man was hit and killed by an NJ Transit train Thursday night in Sea Girt, an NJ Transit spokesman said Friday morning.

The man who was fatally hit by the train was identified as Chad V. Crowley.

He was on the train tracks when he was fatally struck near the Washington Boulevard crossing in Sea Girt, which is just before the Manasquan train station.

This was in the 7 p.m. hour Thursday; NJ Transit did not give an exact time when he was struck.

He was hit by a North Jersey Coast Line train that departed Long Branch at 7:10 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 7:50 p.m.
