Hiring Church Custodian

The South Orange-Vailsburg United Methodist Church, 150 So. Orange Ave., So. Orange, is seeking a responsible part-time custodian to maintain and clean It’s facility, parking lot, storage spaces, and playground. Within the facility Monday through Friday the custodian is specifically responsible for cleaning the sanctuary, offices, storage spaces, and other common spaces. Monday morning work includes cleanup of the space used for Sunday fellowship. in addition to maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and grounds, the custodian will be responsible for proper storage and disposal of waste and recyclables; for facilitating fire, lockdown, boiler, and building security inspections; and stocking and securing supplies. The successful candidate will have knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques and use of cleaning equipment and will be required to submit to a background check.
