1. Why are you running for this position?
I am running for council because I am profoundly dedicated to the future of Parsippany, a community that has become an integral part of my life. As a proud resident, husband, father, and grandfather, I am eager to give back and believe there is no greater way to do so than by serving the people of Parsippany. Under Mayor Barberio’s leadership, our town has emerged from financial hardship, and I am committed to building that foundation to help Parsippany not only survive but thrive for generations.
2. What do you believe to be the most pressing issue in the community, and what do you intend to do about it if elected?
The most pressing issue facing our town with fiscal responsibility and public safety. I plan to work with the mayor and council in providing a sound budget to lower taxes and ensure safer communities.
3. What qualifications and qualities do you possess that make you best suited for the position?
I earned my bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Montclair State University, providing me with a solid foundation in business, strategy, and leadership. In 1983, I started my own import and wholesale food business, which I’ve successfully operated for decades. That experience has taught me how to manage budgets, solve problems, work with diverse groups, and navigate complex regulations skills that I believe directly apply to town government.
4. Overdevelopment has been a growing concern throughout NJ. How do you intend to address it in your community?
Unfortunately, Mt Laurel mandates require us to provide affordable housing. I am committed to promoting smart growth and avoiding overdevelopment in Parsippany.
5. If you are running against an incumbent, where do you believe they’re lacking in serving the community? If you are an incumbent, what areas, if any, do you think you could improve upon in terms of public service?
Did not answer.
6. In a few words, what is your favorite thing about your community?
My favorite aspect of the community is the diversity, different cultures, and people. Additionally, our town offers many amenities including excellent schools and recreational programs. As Mayor Barberio says, "If the world could take a look at how we get along it would be a much better place." Parsippany is truly a wonderful place to live, Mayor Barberio says, "If the world could take a look at how we get along it would be a much better place." Parsippany is an awesome place to live.
