The West Orange Animal Welfare League (WOAWL) features a different adoptable pet each week to spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption and seeking a forever family. This week, meet adoptable Ice!

Named "Ice" for his beautiful coloring, this blue-eyed, white male Husky (or maybe Husky/Shepherd mix) came in as a stray. He was held for a while, but no family claimed him.

Animal control officers say: “He's a little aloof, but a good dog. He walks well on a leash and loves to be outside on a walk.” They say he seems housebroken, which is definitely a plus.

One of the WOAWL dog walkers wrote: “Ice is a really sweet boy. He loves to have his head stroked, walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, and was even OK with a brief bath outside”

The WOAWL believes Ice is between 3 and 7-years-old.

If interested in meeting Ice, adoption days are:

  • The first and third Saturday of each month (excepting holidays)
  • Monday–Friday 4:30pm–5:30pm (excepting holidays)
  • By appointment through W.O. Animal Control: 973-325-4121

Please come and meet the wonderful dogs and cats, all ages and sizes. Adoption day is the best time to spend time with the animals, see the pups out and about, and meet the kitties, too.
