• Man arrested on weapon charge in Big Flats (newportdispatch.com) — A Breesport man was arrested after deputies searched a residence in the town of Big Flats and reported finding an unregistered handgun, leading to a felony weapon charge. The search followed information shared with the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office after an earlier arrest in Elmira. The man is being held at the Chemung County Jail and is expected in court later.
