• Brush Fire Threatens Structures, Crews Contain Flames in Lovelady Response (whky.com) — Long View Fire Department joined several neighboring agencies Wednesday to stop a fast-moving brush fire in the nearby Lovelady community before it could reach more homes. Crews faced limited access and already burning structures but contained the blaze and protected surrounding properties. Officials are urging Long View and area residents to avoid outdoor burning because extremely dry conditions can still fuel dangerous fires quickly.
