📰 News we're reading
• Worley indicted on credit card charges (thesylvaherald.com) — Sylva Police have charged former HERE in Jackson County director Gretta Worley with multiple felonies, accusing her of over $100,000 in unauthorized credit card spending tied to the local homeless-services nonprofit. HERE’s board says it removed her after an internal investigation and stresses the organization remains open and serving residents while police continue probing and warn more charges could follow.

• Andrews DMV license office closes temporarily for building upgrades (wlos.com) — If you need DMV services, remember the Andrews license office is closed for upgrades through mid-April, and Sylva’s office at 876 Skyland Drive remains an option. A temporary Andrews site will open April 6, but Sylva, Bryson City, and Franklin locations are also available for area drivers during the closure.
