ā¢ Community rallies to support child who survived deadly Lancaster fire (lancastereaglegazette.com) ā Lancaster residents are rallying around a 5-year-old girl who survived an April 1 house fire on East Fifth Avenue that killed three family members. Downtown businesses Sweet Betty and Dream Hair Studio are collecting clothing, shoes, and other items, while a GoFundMe and a Fairfield Federal account are also helping support her and her grandfather.

ā¢ Lancaster baseball tops Teays Valley, improves to 5-0 (lancastereaglegazette.com) ā Lancasterās Golden Gales baseball team stayed perfect at 5-0 with a dramatic walk-off win over Teays Valley in Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye play, capped when Carson Miller was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The roundup also highlights strong performances from Berne Union, Fairfield Union, Liberty Union, Amanda-Clearcreek and other nearby baseball and softball programs. Ā Ā Ā
