• Latest York County healthcare change includes shifting services for pregnant women (charlotteobserver.com) — Expectant mothers in Rock Hill will soon deliver at Piedmont Medical Center’s Fort Mill hospital starting May 12, while Rock Hill’s hospital shifts space to expand trauma, surgery, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular care. Both campuses will still handle emergencies, but scheduled women’s services will be centralized in Fort Mill as York County’s healthcare network grows. 
• Beloved Rock Hill coach battles kidney disease; community rallies for support (wsoctv.com) — A longtime Rock Hill coach, Nakia McCloud of South Pointe High, is battling stage 4 kidney disease and undergoing frequent dialysis while he waits for a transplant. After decades of mentoring local athletes, he’s now relying on the Rock Hill community, which has already raised most of a $30,000 goal to help with his mounting medical expenses.
