The public is warmly invited to attend a patriotic wreath-laying ceremony honoring Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, a hero of the American Revolution and champion of liberty. 🇺🇸🇫🇷
Hosted by the Acalanes Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, this special community event celebrates Lafayette’s service to the cause of American independence and the enduring friendship between France and the United States.
📅 Saturday, April 11 🕚 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 📍 Lafayette Library &amp; Learning Center Amphitheatre &amp; Lafayette Statue
Program Highlights: • 11:15 a.m. – Live music by the Young American Patriots Fife &amp; Drum Corps • 11:30 a.m. – Processional to the Lafayette Statue • La Marseillaise &amp; The Star-Spangled Banner • Remarks by community leaders • City of Lafayette Proclamation • Ceremonial Wreath Laying
