• Shenandoah's proposed FY27 budget shows no rate increases, 40% decrease in real estate tax (pagevalleynews.com) — Shenandoah’s proposed 2026–27 town budget would cut the real estate tax rate from 34¢ to 20.5¢ per $100 while keeping all other local tax and utility rates unchanged. Residents can review the full proposal at Town Hall and are invited to a public hearing on April 28 to ask questions or share feedback.

• Deputy Fatally Shoots Man, After Foot Pursuit in Shenandoah (thewinchestergazette.com) — A man was shot and killed by a Page County Sheriff’s deputy Tuesday morning after allegedly brandishing a firearm during a foot chase in the Naked Creek area near Shenandoah. State Police are investigating, and the deputy is on administrative leave while officials withhold the man’s identity pending family notification.
