• Wytheville Kids Public Safety Camp returns for fifth year (wsls.com) — Families in Wytheville can now register kids for the Police Department’s three-day Public Safety Camp, running June 29–July 1 and open to rising second- through fifth-graders. For $25, with scholarships available, children get hands-on time with police gear, fire and rescue equipment, and new 9-1-1 dispatch activities, all designed to be fun while sparking interest in future public safety careers.
