Having a loved one with Parkinson&rsquo;s disease means that your life is going to change, as well as his. Parkinson&rsquo;s disease is a progressive disease that causes the person affected by the disease to lose control of his body. The disease attacks the nerve cells in his brain that are responsible for movement and coordination. The symptoms of the disease usually begin gradually and get worse over time. What your loved one can manage and do today, he might not be able to do next month.

<h3>Parkinson&rsquo;s Disease Progression</h3>
While everyone&rsquo;s journey with the disease is unique, Parkinson&rsquo;s disease does have five typical stages of progression. The amount of time your loved one will spend in each stage is unknown.
<ul><li>Stage 1: During the first stage, daily activities are usually largely not affected.
