• Historic Dublin church bell finally rings again after 50 years of silence (courierheraldtoday.com) — First African Baptist Church in Dublin has brought its historic bell back to life after nearly 50 years of silence, thanks to a $20,000 restoration led by Leadership Georgia and local partners. The 3,000-pound bell, tied to Martin Luther King Jr.’s early speaking history, will now ring out every Sunday at 11 a.m., reconnecting the neighborhood with a powerful piece of its civil rights-era heritage.
