ā¢ Madison PC backs ban on political signs on county properties before fall elections (pjrnews.com) ā Madison Countyās Planning Commission is backing a ban on political signs on county-owned property, a change that could reshape how campaigns look around local polling places this fall. Commissioners also advanced proposals on accessory dwelling units in several Madison residential districts and a new cottage food sales option that would let residents legally sell certain homemade goods from their properties.

ā¢ Madison BZA endorses Ross Shifflett for alternate seat on board (pjrnews.com) ā Madison Countyās Board of Zoning Appeals has unanimously endorsed longtime resident and former supervisor Ross Shifflett for an alternate seat, moving his name on to the Board of Supervisors and then circuit court for possible appointment. Shifflett, who has lived in Madison County his entire life and served extensively in local government, would step in when regular BZA members cannot hear a case. Ā Ā Ā
