• Body found in wooded area of Powhatan County; death investigation underway (wtvr.com) — A body was discovered Thursday evening in a wooded area off the 4000 block of Anderson Highway in Powhatan County, and deputies have launched a death investigation. The person has not yet been identified, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Anyone who may have seen something in that area is urged to call the Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office at 804-598-5656.
