CBS News' Krystal Rich reported Tuesday night that a new semi-professional soccer club called The Island F.C. would be filling the stadium starting in 2027. The stadium will be built on the grounds of the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale. The semi-pro club will play in the MLS Next Pro League, Rich reported.
