• NOVA Parks boosts funding for staff, W&OD Trail plantings (ffxnow.com) — Dunn Loring residents who use the W&OD Trail can expect more native trees and shrubs replacing cleared areas, thanks to a new Dominion-funded planting effort tied to recent vegetation concerns in the Vienna–Dunn Loring stretch. NOVA Parks’ newly adopted $43.3 million budget also boosts invasive species control, park staffing, and maintenance across Northern Virginia, which should improve trail conditions and nature programs close to home.
