Bomb Threat At Fairfax HS Investigated By Police
City of Fairfax Police were at Fairfax High School Monday morning investigating a bomb threat.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police issued an all-clear around 11:30 a.m., on Monday, after spending several hours sweeping Fairfax High School in response to a bomb threat, according to a police department spokesman. No students or faculty were in the school at the time of the bomb threat.
"We received the call from school security around 7:50 a.m. today," Sgt. James Lewis, public information officer with the City.of Fairfax Police Department told Patch around 10:30 a.m. "We are still investigating how they were informed of the threat. Officers are on scene sweeping the school. We have the entrances to the school blocked. We ask that the public avoid the area until the school is swept and deemed safe."
By 11:30 a.m., city police had finished their sweep of the school and reported that no bomb had been found, according to Lewis.
