Popular NYC Halal Food Restaurant Opens In Fairfax City

Family-owned Halal food company that started in Queens, New York has expanded to 120 locations worldwide, including one in Fairfax City.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax City foodies now have a new restaurant where they can enjoy authentic Mediterranean fare like gyros and kababs prepared with 100 percent certified Halal meat.

Shah's Halal Food opened its doors this week at 9625 Fairfax Blvd., which is adjacent to Okonomi Asian Grill in the Fairfax Circle area. It's open daily 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.

In 2005, Shah's Halal opened its first location in the Richmond Hill neighborhood in Queens, New York, expanding to more than 120 franchises in the U.S. and overseas.

In January 2024, Shah's Halal opened a location in Reston's Northpoint Village Center shopping plaza.
