Spraying Store With Carbonated Drinks Lands Vienna Man In Jail: Police
A Vienna man sprayed carbonated beverages inside a Fairfax City convenience store he'd been barred from entering, according to police.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Vienna man who sprayed carbonated beverages around the inside of a Fairfax City convenience store on Thursday night is facing multiple charges, according to authorities.
Officers from the City of Fairfax Police Department responded around 7:05 p.m. to a disorderly subject report from the 7-Eleven at 3910 University Drive.
"The reporting party stated that a previously trespassed individual had entered the store, taken multiple carbonated beverages, shaken the beverages, and sprayed them inside the store and on a patron's vehicle," according to the weekly crime report. The officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody.

Police arrested 45-year-old Alireza Shaker of Vienna and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with petit larceny, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and being drunk in public, according to police. He was then held without bond.
Shaker was arraigned at 10 a.m. on Friday in Fairfax City General District Court and a preliminary hearing was set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 18, according to court records.

The petit larceny, trespassing, and disorderly conduct charges are all Class 1 misdemeanors, which are each punishable by up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500, under the Virginia Code.
The being drunk in public charge was made in connection to an arrest that occurred in Fairfax County the day before the incident at the Fairfax City 7-Eleven, according to court documents. That charge is a Class 4 misdemeanor, which is punishable to a fine of up to $250, according to Virginia law.
Shaker has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 21 in Fairfax County General District Court on the drunk in public charge, according to court records. He was released on his own recognizance on Friday.
On Sept. 29, Shaker was found guilty in abstentia in Fairfax County General District Court on a drinking alcohol in public charge, stemming from a July 18 arrest in Fairfax County, according to court records. He was fined $25 and ordered to pay court costs of $127.
As of Tuesday morning, the fine and court costs have not been paid, according to court records.
