Woman Killed When Gun Inadvertently Fires: Fairfax Police
Fairfax County police say a woman was fatally wounded when a firearm discharged inadvertently inside a Fair Oaks home on Friday afternoon.

FAIR OAKS, VA — Fairfax County police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in the Fair Oaks area, according to a 4:37 p.m. post on FCPD's official X account.
Investigators, who were on the scene of the fatal shooting in the 4500 block of Derring Lane, determined that a woman was fatally shot after a firearm had inadvertently fired. The firearm discharged while another person was cleaning it inside a home, according to police.
