• Richmond District Traffic Alert: Greenwood Church Road in Hanover County to close for pipe replacement project (virginia.gov) — A short stretch of Greenwood Church Road in Hanover County will be closed on Wednesday, July 29, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a VDOT pipe replacement project, with residents still able to reach their homes. Drivers should follow the posted detour using Mountain Road and Rosmarin Road and can check 511Virginia or VDOT’s customer service center for updates.
   

• Obituary - Charles Robert Hawker Sr. (henricocitizen.com) — Family and friends are invited to honor Charles Robert Hawker Sr. at a graveside service in Hanover on Thursday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at Signal Hill Memorial Park on Hanover Courthouse Road. The longtime Henrico resident is remembered by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and close friend for a life of hard work and simple pleasures.
